Surface Alternative Lenovo Miix 520 Tablet Specs Leaked

An unofficial report said that Lenovo Miix 520 Tablet is in the works, a new update of Miix 510 tablet that will compete with Microsoft Surface tablet. Some details about the Lenovo Miix 520 have been leaked online aside from unofficial renders that just might offer us a glimpse of this tablet’s design quite similar to that of its predecessor. The famous Lenovo Watch Band hinge may be retained.

Tablet features (expected)

The tablet is said to feature a 12.3 inch 1,920×1,200 pixel screen resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass, an optional keyboard cover, a fingerprint sensor, and an active stylus pen. 

Lenovo is expected to have a 7th gen Core i7-7500U, Core i5-7200U, or Core i3-7100U based on the “Kaby Lake” architecture, and also offer a Core i3-6006U based on the “Skylake” architecture.

Additional specifications may include up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Plus a microSD card slot may allow users to expand storage externally.

Moreover, the Miix 520 might include a USB 3.0 (Type-C) port alongside two USB 2.0 ports. An 8 megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera and a fingerprint sensor between the volume keys are expected to be onboard as well.

Also, Lenovo Miix 520 is said to offer 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. It is equipped with a 45-watt power supply.

In addition, the Lenovo Miix 520 is to be equipped with an AC WLAN and Bluetooth 4.2 supporting wireless module as well as an optional LTE modem.

Another good thing, it is said to feature Dolby Advanced Audio certified speakers, which will radiate to the rear or front, depending on the final design. And all components are housed in a magnesium-aluminum alloy metal housing.

However, these great features have not been officially confirmed by Lenovo yet. Pricing and availability options have not been revealed at this point in time.
